JOB SUMMARY

The Business and System Analyst is responsible to elicit requirements, write technical specifications, analyze business processes, and develop recommendations for new or existing information systems. Review, analyze, and evaluate business applications and user needs. Documents business requirements, defines scope and objectives and develops functional requirements to enhance business processes, operations, test scripts and process flow. Defines application problem by conversing with end-user and evaluating procedures and processes in placed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Meets with decision makers, system owners and end-users to define business and operations requirements and system goals.
  • Works with application owners in the development of business requirements.
  • Analyzes, designs and develops new and existing applications functionalities based on users’ needs.
  • Facilitates design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution and to clarify detailed functional specifications.
  • Delivers elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables.
  • Publishes, distributes, and ensures sign-off of the Business Requirements Documents.
  • Develops technical diagrams of existing processes and communicates changes needed to development team.
  • Accurately and efficiently executes test plans with the business or process owners.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration/Health Administration with 3 to 5 years of business analysis experience or information technology.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the health care services area is a plus.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in systems analysis and/or programming required, with project management or leadership responsibilities highly desired.
