JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for retaining assigned accounts and identifying customer needs, acting proactively to ensure their satisfaction. Presents alternatives and new products that meet customer needs, this includes benefits design and premium negotiation and service. Responsible for the development of strategies which result in the retention of groups through a close business relationship with the clients. Performs planning efforts within department, whether for operational situations from day to day or project assignments or to coordinate multiple resources within their department or division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the renewal of existing accounts in compliance with goals established and recommend alternatives on benefits design and cost control strategies for the client.
- Prepare, analyze and present utilization reports as well as statistics related to the functions and duties.
- Provide personalized service to groups through visits and phone calls for guidance and advice on the administration of the plan according to customer need, corporate rules, federal and state laws and regulations.
- Develop business relationships with Groups, Agencies, Consultants, brokers, TPA, etc. to increase the portfolio.
- Develop, prepare and offer benefits and added value programs presentations to the group leaders and employees. Also, assist in the coordination of health education activities.
- Delivery of cards, documents and materials necessary for the proper administration of the accounts.
- Send written communications to group administrators, brokers, consultants and TPA’s if applicable, related to the accounts, Triple-S products, new procedures and other relevant regulatory laws.
- Maintain direct communication with the Service Executive or Group Service Unit sharing relevant situations and liaison with other departments for issue completion and accountability. Works with internal departments for the administration of special services for key accounts such as RDS Management, Claims and Administrative Audits, Performance Guarantees Reports, Rebates, Managed Care Programs, among other services.
- Requires compliance with the service level agreements negotiated with the client or broker and, or service level standards established by Triple-S.
- Send written communications to group administrators, brokers, consultants and TPA’s if applicable, related to the accounts, Triple-S products, new procedures and other relevant regulatory laws.
- Comply with the annual objectives established by the department.
- Participate in special projects assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts or Science
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science or Business Administration (Accounting, Finance, Marketing) preferable with one (1) to three (3) years of experience in the health insurance industry. Or at least five (5) years of experience in lieu of, with proven track record of retention, complex deal cycles, client strategy and account planning, preferably in the health insurance industry.
