JOB SUMMARY
Manages the scope of projects, stakeholder relationships, resource coordination, project cost controls, problem resolutions, to facilitate successfully facility planning projects outcomes. Responsible for all project management, construction and coordination of internal (telecom. Network services, IT provisioning, safety and security, business risk solutions) and external business partners (architects, general contractors, vendors, etc.). Leader in implementing the physical changes required by business partners to support organizational needs and objectives and focuses on communication with business partners and all project stakeholders in the procurement and utilization of space.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Overseeing facility planning and interior construction projects, managing all phases of facility planning, design, construction, and close out to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Coordination with all internal partners and external stakeholders, vendors, architects, engineers, for project alignment and organizational goals and requirements.
- Budget and resource management, developing and managing projects budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring efficient uses of resources.
- Planning and implementing strategies to optimize facility space, improve energy and enhance overall facility performance.
- Providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress issues, and milestones.
- Planning and implementing strategies to optimize facility space, improve energy efficiency and enhance overall facility performance.
- Developing full sets of design intent construction document sets in AutoCAD for interior build outs, clinics, and retail centers, to provide in bid exercises with contractors for permitting. In addition, able to read and understand permitted sets of interior construction documents.
- Reconfiguration of commercial modular furniture, relocation coordination of teams, and schedule development. Vendor coordination, and RFP narrative creation.
- Accountability of all aspects of an interior facility planning project, throughout the entire island of Puerto Rico. Ability to lead, motivate teams working on various facility planning projects, with flexibility and understanding of complexities in an ever-changing environment. Change Management efforts and involvement for communication.
- Real Estate portfolio understanding and support from a facility perspective, standardization of materials, finishes, furniture, equipment, processes, and policies. Test fit, and fit assessment onsite support with Real Estate.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Business Administration
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Construction, or Business Administration with three to five years or more experience in facility planning.
- NCIDQ or PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) is preferred but not required.
