JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of an organization's IT infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas such as datacenter, server infrastructure, cloud services, and service platforms. The Infrastructure Supervisor is also responsible for scheduling and directing activities to resolve hardware and software problems efficiently and accurately.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strategy and Planning
- Collaborate with senior management to understand and align the infrastructure strategy with the organization's overall mission, vision, and strategic goals.
- Identify how the infrastructure can enable business growth and operational efficiency.
- Develop a technology roadmap that outlines the future state of infrastructure, including planned upgrades, recent technologies, and retirement of obsolete systems.
- Regularly update the roadmap to reflect changes in technology trends and business needs.
- Assess current infrastructure capacity and predict future needs based on business growth projections and technological advancements.
Acquisition and Deployment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine current and future infrastructure needs, including hardware, software, networking, and security systems.
- Create detailed technical specifications aligned with organizational needs, scalability, security, and compliance standards.
- Assess proposals based on criteria such as cost, support, reliability, vendor reputation, and technical e.
- Manage vendors and service provider relationships to ensure SLAs are met and contracts are beneficial to the organization.
Operational Management
- Implement and maintain monitoring tools to ensure continuous uptime and performance.
Supervise the daily operations of data centers, servers, storage solutions, and datacenter network systems. - Lead infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
- Oversee the implementation of system migrations and upgrades without disrupting business operations.
- Oversee the quick resolution of technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Lead the team in providing third-tier technical support for system users.
- Supervise, train, and mentor team members to enhance productivity and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative environment within the team and across departments.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, with at least three (3) to five (5) years of related experience.
- Or eight years or more of IT infrastructure experience instead of.
- Five years or more of previous personnel supervisor experience required.
