JOB SUMMARY

Requires the ability to learn and follow job instructions/or procedures. Responsible for managing the end-to-end salvage operations process, including document processing, vehicle preparation for auction, coordination with clients, and administrative support.  This role serves as a link between claimants, financial institutions, and internal departments to ensure efficient salvage property handling and disposition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage and process inbound department correspondence.
  • Coordinate pickup, transportation, and delivery logistics for salvage property.
  • Liaise with insureds and claimants regarding salvage pickup coordination.
  • Digitize department documents for OnBase filing.
  • Prepare comprehensive vehicle files for auction.
  • Input and verify auction vehicle information in SISE system, including lice inspection results.
  • Generate auction sale sheets for vehicle disposition.
  • Prepare case files and documentation for Department of Public Transportation submission.
  • Arrange pickup and transportation of salvage property to appropriate storage locations.
  • Conduct site visits to regional offices for salvage item collection.
  • Collect and process easily disposable salvage property.
  • Coordinate with financial institutions to deliver payments and obtain vehicle titles and lien releases necessary for auction preparation.
  • Enter police inspection results into system records.
  • Manage Internal Revenue stamps.
  • Handle and process Police Complaint requests.
  • Attend to bidders regarding any matters related to salvage sales, documentation, or situations that may arise.
  • Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and coordinate routine maintenance as needed.

EDUCATION

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration

EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's Degree (60-64 university credits) from a recognized University or College, preferably in Business Administration with six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in the functions described above. Or instead, one (1) to three (3) years of experience in the functions related to the position.
  • Experience in insurance salvage operations.
  • Knowledge of Puerto Rico insurance regulations and vehicle documentation requirements.
  • Active Driver's license.
